Laptop help please:

I need to get a new laptop for work, something that is equally suitable for working at a desk to working on the train.

It needs to be either Windows 7, or Windows 8 downgrade, and in the region of ?300 to ?400.

Can anyone suggest anything?

(And if possible link me up on the PC World Business site?)
