Ive taken Gretna from Scottish divsion 2 to the Scottish premier league in 3 seasons. Half way through the 4th season I sit in 5th place, 10 points behind leaders Celtic and have Ryan Giggs playing on the left wing and Ian Henderson on the right with Namouchi from Rangers in the middle!

In answer to your question surely it is a combination of the 2. Its Worthys job to choose the best team available, tactics and to make decisions as the game pans out (Or in Worthys case with 10minutes to go). At the same time once the players cross the white line it is up to them to perform.
