Boyer-Leave Worthington Alone!

Ex-Norwich and Southampton favourite, Phil Boyer, has implored Norwich fans to remain loyal to their manager Nigel Worthington.

On the eve of Norwich's game against Southampton, Boyer, 55, said "...although I haven't seen Norwich play for some years now, and don't know most of their players, or, indeed, Nigel Worthington at all, I am convinced he is the sort of quality young manager who will lead them around the corner and back up that table".

Another former Canaries favourite, Bill "Billy" Bates, now dead, spoke from beyond the grave & added "...he is the sort of perky chap that will get things moving again at the Nest, have faith in him, and keep on training them hard, using lots of medicine balls and the vapours..."

A former Norfolk County Council hole punch, now used by the Southampton and District Womens Guild declined to comment yesterday.
