re jarvis - looks like contract offer is now explained

Appears from the EEN that he can't leave for nothing - either now or in the summer - *because we offered him a professional contract*.

Therefore if Charlton, say, wanted him, and he hadn't signed the contract we offered, then a tribunal would decide what compensation we get.

All points towards him moving on. As you say, I don't see why we should expect any different, when we have a manager who prefers to get 'players' like Lisbie, Jarrett in etc rather than give the young players a chance. If it were me, I'd be looking for a way out too.
