Worthington at Blackpool - sounds familiar?
Taken from the thisislancashire.co.uk archive:
SEASIDERS boss Nigel Worthington has sent a rally cry to all involved with Blackpool Football Club following their poor start to the season.
"We're all in this together," he said.
"The blame lies with no individual for our position."
After a string of bad results, including being knocked out of the Worthington Cup at the hands of Tranmere, a disastrous performance at Brentford and a disappointing draw at home against Oxford, the Seasiders have found themselves languishing at the wrong end of the table.
In addition, the team is missing the influence of Paul Beesley, out for six to eight weeks following a pre-season injury.
But Worthington insists that hard work, dedication and group belief is the key.
"The results have been mixed after a good start but we've just got to get on with it, keep our heads down and work hard.
"A lot of hard work can see us stringing some results together and end up in the top half of this league."
