Why not lease instead of buying? Pro's n cons with either depending on your circumstances but worth considering and weighing up.
Nice shiny new car every 2 or 3 years, Manufacturer warranty, no need for hassle/cost of MOT each year
Never get to 'own' the car (not that you need to - you need to have use of car, not own it) and you don't have something which diminishes in value as soon as you register as its owner like you do when purchasing.
Depending on what you want, for how long and annual milage get a nice motor for ?220-?250 pcm.
