PS the technical director role as defined in the above interview makes a lot of sense
Why waste the manager's time with stuff that someone else could quite easily sort out - the more time spent on first team tactics and management etc the better
It's like having PA's at work - they do all the stuff we don't need to do because we have more valuable skills to apply which they don't - PA's a ten-a-penny (to use an ancient phrase) just like a technical director would be by the sounds of it - Neil Adams football-PA (as opposed to a secretary style PA which I'm sure he will have anyway)
