easier to become disconnected from your team when you live so far away. I understand that myself from my years living in Nottingham. When things weren't great during the Rioch/Hamilton/Grant/Roeder/Gunn eras, I lost interest in the nuances and day to day of the club. I could pick it up and put it down on a Saturday afternoon or Tuesday night, and not think about it inbetween. It helps living somewhere where others aren't going to engage with you in all matters NCFC at work, down the pub etc.

I would however take issue with you on your statement that the board have been wrong many times before. You're beating successive Boards with the same stick and I think that's unfair. As far as the current Board is concerned, on the whole they've been an unqualified success. I would agree that things haven't been as good since the turn of the year, but then hindsight is a wonderful thing. They've always tried to do what they believed to be right, and they've got more right than they've got wrong. You certainly can't argue with their financial business acumen. Maybe their are legitimate questions over their leisure business acumen? You could point to the influence exerted by the majority shareholders, or the death of the Chief Exec's Father a few weeks ago, that may have been a contributing factor in not making the right decisions at the right time as far as the footballing side of the business is concerned. We'll never know for sure though. The Board have always tried to act in the best interests of the Club and its supporters, and whatever business you run, you're not going to get it right all the time. You can only learn from your mistakes, and that's why the actions that the Board have taken in recent weeks will ultimately determine whether they have indeed learned valuable lessons, and got the playing side of the Club back on track.
