After having a couple of days to absorb the appointment of Adams
My initial disappointment has given way to a cautious optimism for next season.
For all his lack of experience, I cannot remember, in my lifetime, us appointing a manager who is, so clearly, a huge fan of the club as well. I really hope that this love of the club, combined with his obvious tactical awareness, can be augmented with an experienced DOF, who can handle contracts and sales/purchases.
We need somebody experienced, and connected in the game, but who is probably winding down their career, and thus not wanting the pressure of being the Manager. This will be a very key appointment IMHO.
Get rid of the players that don't want to be here, and we will have the core of a good champs squad. Buy some firepower up front, and we will be in solid shape.
