Just woken up to the news in Shanghai. Well...
I am not disappointed at all. Its just sad to see how many so called Norwich fans are disappointed to see a Norwich city legend at the helm. Of course that doesn't make you a good manager, but Neil has shown promise both after being appointed caretaker and before. Many top flight managers started their careers with no first team 'managerial' experience at top clubs. You don't need to be manager of a first team to prove your worth in the position, how would that ever work anyway? It's just like any other job, you can work your way up to the top.
Sure, Neil has to prove himself, but so would have Zola or Lennon (the latter I think was never in the picture anyway) and I believe neither of them have any managerial experience which would make me confident of a return to the premiership.
You want big names... van wolfswinkel, Fer, Hooper. Or do you really want those unknown who wanted it and will fight for it... grant holt, Russell martin etc etc
Never let being a Norwich fan in the premiership go to your head. I've seen some fans saying 'little norwich again' like they are surprised... we are little Norwich, we always will be.. just like little Fulham, little sunderland, little west brom and so on.
COME ON NEYUL!
