So if we are going to appoint a technical director, why not appoint a head coach
rather than a manager, for example Ian Culverhouse. Highly rated coach, we have first hand experience of how he improved some old cloggers from league one.
The director of football/technical director then comes in and takes over all the other behind the scenes stuff... Curbishley or someone with a big contact book.
DoF never works because teams appoint managers under the DoF not coaches.
