Yes and no, in that order, but it's a basic rule of corporate comms

that you don't set an expectation you can't hit - that you don't *know* you can hit.

If they'd said "within a few weeks" or "the next couple of weeks" we'd have been just as happy, and they (presumably) will hit the expectation they've set.

I'm assuming the delay is around backroom staff/similar as I don't think they'd have been that bullish if negotiations with the main man weren't a long way along. Clearly it's not Adams.

I'm not really upset about this, but Mickdundee is right that they should have handled it better. This isn't seventh-dan business ninja s**t, this is Janet And John Do Corporate Comms.
