Not really a realistic comparison.

I'd say imagine your company lost a massive contract which you worked on and was facing redundancies as a result. You'd been brought in specifically to work on this project and were paid very well for it but had a lot of days of sick and struggled to cope with the workload on the days you were in.

You did smile a lot though and made everyone cups of tea (even though you dropped quite a few cups).
