I dislike him because of his treatment of Ruddy and also

his clear bias towards players of certain clubs or players who are bigged up by the media. The recent glut of selections from Southampton being a case in point when Holt was just completely overlooked when he played for us despite having a very similar impact to Ricky Lambert and there being less decent strikers around at that time.

I had hoped that with Hodgson being a decent bloke, players from other sides might get more of a look in but that has not been the case with Liverpool reserve players being selected ahead of regular starters for their teams.

I appreciate that there is a certain contradiction between the Southampton thing and the picking players from big clubs but he only started recently picking those players as a result of the clamour from the media.
