Are a very revealing insight as to why he's ever so slightly lost his way as a manager. Especially why he's lost 6 out of 8 CL semi-finals.
He's reactive. Completely reactive. If his opponent - even Sunderland at home, even Norwich at home - dares nothing, he dares little in response. So in CL semis, as long as his opponent doesn't blink first, each tie turns into a desperately taut contest which slips from his grasp again and again.
A section of Chelsea fans are seeing through him already. Broadly speaking, I love the man - but he's not learning from his mistakes. You can't pre-programme a team like this in what is also an instinctive sport and expect it to work.
