"based on what others have said about his style of play"

How many times have these people watched Cardiff over the last few years? Are they just making assumptions because he was a defender who was sometimes a bit hoofy?

Cardiff's attempted style of play seemed ok to me, It's just that they're not very good. I really don't like the fact that people have written him off already
