Think he's lost his courage as well as confidence (I suppose they go hand in hand though).

You'd continue to feel sorry for him if you didn't need him to toughen up and battle through it as we're rapidly running out of opportunities for him to have his hallelujah moment. Come on lad: if he's gonna continue to pick you you've got to make it worthwhile and repay his continued faith in you. The way they played yesterday I'd be happy with a nil nil at SB but then that means he HAS to come good on the final day for that poetic first game, last game symmetry. If he then kept us up we could laugh about it further down the line and he'd be written into Canary folklore with a comedy song. Until then: pull yer f**kern finger out, boy!
