Lambert at Villa v Hughton at Norwich
The winner's Hughton - by ANY stretch of the imagination. I've been as shocked by how bad Lambert's been there as anyone else - but their wage bill last season was over 80m (8th in the division, bigger than Everton's); ours was a bit over 50m, 16th in the division.
Almost 2 full years, and he's picked up a point fewer than Hoots did with us despite being at a much bigger club with a much bigger wage bill? And for our humiliation v Luton, read theirs v Bradford, live on the telly in front of millions. He's been a disaster there, and his whole demeanour's changed too. The man who was once the new Martin O'Neill now looks like a school dinner lady in drag during post-match interviews. He'll be very, very lucky to survive.
I would, incidentally, take Culverhouse back in an absolute heartbeat, and hope the club are trying to do that right now. I genuinely think he could make the difference between staying up and going down. And I'd take Lambert back if McNally and Bowkett resigned; that doesn't mean I want them to do so though. It'd just be a very big sweetener if we go down, and they quit.
