I went to watch us at Maine Rd without a ticket.
99/2000, I think. We got hammered 3-0, possibly 4-0.
Went across from Sheff with a Man City fan, knowing it was all-ticket, with the intention of getting a ticket off a tout.
Found a tout, got sold essentially a piece of paper with two seat numbers on it, and my mate managed to talk us through the turnstile ("they're my dad's season ticket seats, but he didnt give us the actual ticket"). Only one of the seats was free, and I took that, and my mate spent the match in a steward's seat. Somehow, no idea how. 100% no chance at all you'd get away with any of that now, and it was only 14-15 years ago.
