suspect players are a lot more immune to it than you are

we can't play so we get excited about stuff like 'talk'. The players are the ones who actually have to go out there and do it, and they know talk is cheap and wins nothing (they've heard it all before anyway and know it doesn't affect what happens on the pitch) .
