You may be right that he'll come good, under a different manager and with a season's experience behind him. But if we do stay up, it'll largely be despite him rather than because of him. You may want fans to be very patient with a player who cost ?8.5m and has contributed little or nothing for an entire season, but I fear that for a club with our resources, that's pretty unrealistic.
