It often doesn't matter who you vote for, not because they're liars but
Because of the first past the post system we have.
Thetford is similar to Lynn in the way that it is an industrial town which are traditionally Labour territory but we are both lumped into large rural constituencies which means they have become Tory safe seats.
There are only around 30 constituencies in the Country that are marginal and could swing either way in an election.
Nigel Garage may be a bit of a little Englander but he is giving some of the people what they want to hear. He is taking votes off New Labour because they are now seen as Tory's with a different colour tie. He is however taking more votes off the Tories because they like all this immigration stuff. Most the Daily Heil and Daily Diana readers.
The European elections will be interesting because if UKIP do well the main parties will do their usual and try to claim their opponents are a load of right wing mutters.
If you cannot find a candidate to vote for then you should still exercise your democratic right by spoiling your ballot paper. All spoiled votes are counted. It will probably make no difference to the outcome but I always say that if you don't vote then you have no right to moan.
