Update on William Hill pop-up issue.
Thousands of web surfers have joined in a chorus of criticism at technology giants over 'shady ads' redirecting them to the William Hill betting app.
Auto-redirecting ads are to to blame for the problem and now furious Apple fans are slating the betting giant on Twitter.
In response, William Hill said the pop ups are "not intentional" and they are looking to "resolve the issue".
Popular apps and mobile websites reported to be affected are The Guardian, News.co.au, Salon, Huffington Post, Patheos, Glinner, Radio Times, Sky Sports, Letters Of Note, BBC Good Food, Betfair and Wrath of the Barclay.
