Why Dean Ashton should be dropped to make things better
The problem with Ashton is that his two biggest weaknesses are his lack of pace, and his inability to be a target man. He is undoubtadly our best striker. But he thrives on crosses and balls into feet. And sadly, our team just isn't good enough/lacks the necessary personnel to play to Ashton's strengths. Hence he looks very poor in our team. Given that we can't replace the 8 players behind Ashton in outfield positions, we have to replace Ashton with someone with pace to play alongside Thorne (target man). It's the sad truth.
