Some good discussions below on Bassong and RVW
My simple take - things are not going to change until Hughton is gone. I really feel for Seb - but he needs a rest - both from the captaincy and the team. He's half the player he was for us last year, and would probably welcome a break. But it's not going to happen - Hughton chose him as captain, and he will play! And then the service to our strikers, both RVW and Hoops - Redmond has got so much skill and so much speed, and often will beat the defender and be in a position to deliver a cross - but with his wrong foot! So he (and Snodgrass) then fiddle around and get the ball onto their good foot in order to deliver a decent cross - by which time the defence has had time to recover and block. And so they both recert to the other option, which is shoot rather than pass. But for some reason Hughton won't put them on their natural wings - not even for part of the game. It's beyond me. Just hope we collect enough points so that a new manager in the summer can properly use the talents a good number of our players have - in the Prem.
