every case is completely different
and changing manager is never reliable!
but it has worked for sunderland and palace who looked doomed and now both have a fighting chance of staying up which is all you can really ask for.
in cardiff's case it wasn't really a results based decision but a mad chairman who just didn't get on with the manager.
not sure sacking clarke was so bad as their ppg is almost the same now as when he was fired. they won 1 and drew 3 with the caretaker in charge so maybe should have stuck by him as were picking up.
