Poor performance, dreadful result
Massive opportunity missed today.
Continuing to select RVW ahead of Hooper is a joke.
We looked sloppy and off the pace from the off today. Johnson took his goal well and made one crucial block but other than that was awful. Snoddy tries. Redmond excites and frustrates in equal measure and the chuckle brothers at the back continue to produce a mixture of ice cool, impressive defending mixed with moments bordering on complete calamity.
Main thing lacking for me today was intensity right from the word go. Thought we improved start of the second half and the goal was just about deserved when it came but then rather than go on and build momentum and try and take the game away from them like Villa did to us lady week we backed off, took off our one creative player who can thread a pass and let them have the ball in our half. Not seen the pen so may have been soft but if you surrender the impetus and try and defend tight leads all the time then sometimes things like that will go against you.
Our attempt to score against 10 men was one of the most pathetic I've ever witnessed.
At least we didn't lose and other results have softened the blow a bit but can't help feeling that result may cost us come May.
