he's technically very good

but it is rapidly becoming clear that his decision making is almost beyond terrible. The media were making him out to be some kind of messiah when he broke through because technically gifted English midfielders were so thin on the ground that they really wanted him to be, but he really isn't worth the hype. He doesn't score or create much, and he is always a sending off/injury waiting to happen because his tackling is so reckless (and because of his tendency to endlessly run with the ball into crowds of defenders)
