just because private companies hold that information is no justification for govt to do

the same. I very much doubt Yahoo or skype holds images of chats throuh their services and they shouldn't be allowed to do so either, just like the govt shouldn't.

Like I say, just how much of this specific information has led to any terrorist arrests? I'll be willing to wager that it's zero.
But fair enough, let's all just waive our privacy and allow ourselves to be treated as criminals just because 1 person in 10 million actually is.

Its an absolute disgrace and frankly the invasions of privacy go from bad to worse despite the pathetic results and massive cost and people still justify it! unreal
