Derby - the place the dam broke
Anyone else feel that the tide against Worthington really did turn at Pride Park on Saturday? The chant of 'We want Worthy out' was very loud and long - surely it must have got through to docile Delia? Anyway, I thought Ashton played heroically - he tried his absolute hardest - and Greeno also did well. And yet we'll probably lose both of them in January, and this is one of the things that hurts the most. Worthington has squandered all those Premiership riches - when will we get the chance to have that sort of money again? - and the quality players that we have got - Safri, Greeno, Ashton - must be so disillusioned that they'll all be off to pastures new in just a month's time. And then what will we do?!?!
Just to add insult to injury on Saturday, the trains back to London from Derby were a disaster and it took me 4 hours, instead of 30 mins, to get back to sunny Leicester where I live - aaargh.
