on the Levels you can see the impact dredging does/doesn't have
There are fields that are waterlogged, and fields that have drained away better. Those that have drained are those whose drainage channels aren't full of silt and reeds.
It's not the flooding itself that it solves (as it doesn't, and the Levels are supposed to flood occasionally) it's the aftermath that it helps alleviate.
