Some simple questions

1. Why are "stability and continuity" factors in the continuing employment of management but not of players?
2. Why are the contracts of non-performing players so frequently paid up, but the contract of the non-performing manager is inviolate?
3. Will the financial cost of relegation to Division 3 exceed the sum put into the club by Smith and Wynn-Jones?
