I'm not angry. I don't blame Hughton either. I'm just resigned. Completely and utterly

Resigned.

Played well at Cardiff; played well (or at least decently) tonight; deserved to lose both games. Because if we can't score goals, we won't win football matches and we won't deserve to win them either.

This isn't some spell of bad luck which'll magically give way to 5-0 humpings of opponents or something. I'm not even that sure it's down to Hughton's tactics any more; albeit, I think the whole cautious approach of the club in his time has more than played its part.

It's impotence. Pathetic, laughable impotence. Quite why we did not strengthen where we needed to in January, I will never know; quite why so few were focused on how desperately we needed to strengthen up front, I have no idea. But it's done now. This team doesn't have the goals to save it; this team is going down.
