Trying to cast my mind back....

....did we think that we concluded the summer transfer window with money left over to spend in January, if we needed to? I thought so, tho I can't remember quite why we thought that, but can't remember for sure.

If so, isn't the position we're now in one in which you might have expected us to spend some of that? (18 goals in 23 games, 5pts off relegation etc...)
