Seeins as it's match night, I'll tell you a story and we can all forget it straight away
I was wearing brand new safety boots for work today, and the leather at the opening was beginning to chafe my shins, so I stuck a couple of plazzies on, but the chafing continued. So I went and got a couple of rags from the rag bin, rolled each into a tube, and stuffed one each into the tops of my boots to a) protect my shins and b) help speed along the wearing-in process.
During the afternoon, someone asked me to nip out to the yard because a visiting driver needed some help with something, so off I trotted. The driver is a lady. This is relevant because, as I stepped out into the yard, i felt one of the boot-rags coming out of the boot. and so as I approached the lady, I realised that what looked like a rolled-up sock had just fallen out of my trouser leg.
