Personally, I think it's the price you pay for having internationals in your team.

You know the players are internationals when you bring them to the club[*], so shouldn't complain when they go off to play for their country. That's what I think anyway.

[*] - apart from youths of course, like the Green situation, but still, if a player is good enough to play for his country I don't think the club should stand in this way.
