Our fullbacks do get forward
Its just that on one side Redmond never passes to Olsen on the overlap, preferring to bloot it out for a goalkick, and on the right Martin or Whits has Snod roaring for the ball, only to miscontrol it, dither and lose it, or go down the line and win a corner, which we of course bloot straight back to their keeper.
We never, as you say, have runners from centre mid with or without the ball until 80mins and desperation is entrenched, everything trundles slowly down the flanks
I for one hate the wingers on wrong foot thing. Its ok if your widemen are capable of a 1-2, quick pass, follow on run to rag defenders all over. We have static midfield because they know once the ball is lost they have to sprint back to cover centre mid and the flanks.
BE BOLD, FFS
