Hughton was their first choice manager so probably was the only candidate as they got their man. Didn?t Bowkett mention that he was on their radar when Lambert had his ?wobble? when we had won the Championship?
That was the time when the situation was unsettled at Newcastle and Hughton left left soon after the 11/12 season started.
