I'm not disagreeing about Sherwood

He has a "one size fits all" approach to tactics, and that was massively exposed in the cup game away at Arsenal where they just couldn't get the ball out of defence due to Arsenal's central three pressing their central two, hence the ball being forced back to Lloris and him HOOFING. You also noticed the issue when Spurs tried to thread any through ball, every single once was from deep because they lacked a link man, meaning that Arsenal basically sweeped up any Spurs' attack with ease because it was all in front of the Arsenal defence apart from the Eriksen chance.

Sherwood's results so far have been overstated because they've beaten United at OT...which isn't exactly hard to do now! The win at Saints was good but both sides were poor that day. The win versus Palace was very lucky. Sherwood could well become one of those managers who become flat track bullies, destroying all of the teams outside of the top 6, but I doubt that he has the ability to outwit other top class managers.

One thing is for sure though, Sherwood is currently proving how ordinary AVB is, as Di Matteo did at Chelsea. People point to the Europa league triumph, but that's a competition where O'Neill, McClaren and Hodgson have all reached the final in the past decade...
