Happy New Year, mate !!
Don't wish to dissolusion, but you won't get a lamb shank cooked to order in a pub. It takes at least 2 hours to cook!! They are either cooked, refridgerated and reheated (ping) or come straight out of a packet (ping too) which is more common.
FYO, the Chequers at Feltwell has home made starters and puds at ?4.25 (recommend the game terrine, and perhaps salted caramel chocolate torte to finish, with ice cream) and mains are ?9 - ?12 (how about pan-fried lemon sole with a crayfish tail butter sauce, or a fabulous homemade beef and venison pie)...
