watching Doncaster (Rovers not Neil) last night
was really depressing. How can a League One team stuff a Prem outfit by 3 goals? Oh hang on. Because when they were ahead they kept playing football, passing the ball and going forward. There was zero chance of us winning a game by three goals last year. None whatsoever. Because the moment we get ahead, especially if its the second half, we abandon all ambition (even nominal) of scoring another goal or even attacking to relieve the pressure. We just drop our whole midfield back to the edge of our penalty area and surrender the central area to the opposition to allow them to mount attack after attack. Even at home against 10 men (Blackburn). We even do it in this crap division. We ALWAYS have under Worthy. And when it doesn't work Worthy trots out the "disappointed with us for dropping off " quote. Nigel, we do it every bloody time. Either a) it is your policy that the players are following - in which case you are a gutless negative drone - or b) you have no control whatsoever of what the team does on the pitch - in which case you are a total and utter waste of space. There is no option c). One of the above two MUST be true. Face the facts and for once show some guts and pack it in.
