And not by much.
But since it is extremely well made gear and comes with transferable warranty, buying second hand is actually less risky than with pcs. And you can run the latest operating system versions on them without needing to upgrade every year.
For example I bought a 2009 MacBook Air from eBay for 600 euros, about a year and a half ago. Still like lightning. Battery is waning a bit but still in gear shape.
