We aren't top half calibre because

You don't just spend ?25m and become a top half side.

There are at least 9 sides I would say are, on paper, top half sides.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd, Spurs, Everton, Tottenham, Newcastle.

Beyond that there are about 7 or 8 teams who could claim that 10th place, but in reality will finish between 11th and 17th. In my opinion we are one of those sides.

I'm not saying we shouldn't look to break into the top 10 in the next 1,2,3 seasons, but for people to think that just cause we have spent a load of cash in one window we are suddenly a top half side this season is crazy.
