then frankly, as a body of football supporters of any club, you deserve that to happen. If losing a few matches makes you all want to swim in the shallow end and not try to take off the water wings for fear of a dunking, then I despair.

The thing is, as soon as Hughton says a comment which is perceived to show a "little Norwich" mentality (whatever that is), he's criticised, rightly or wrongly. But then we should go down a league because this one is hard work? FFS.
