In the five league games that Ryan Bennett has played for us this season
we have conceded just three goals, including four starts and one sub appearance. The sub appearance versus Villa occurred during the 38th minute after they had scored.
Many of us were saying it at the time after his great performance versus Stoke, but it was a shame that he was dropped for the following four games before being restored to the side versus West Ham. He is steadily developing into our best "pure" defender.
Bennett and Bassong should be the first choice central defensive partnership for the foreseeable future.
