I sort of see what you're saying...

but why have these good players not performed? And the Deano transfer 'pressure' - well that was supposed to be the reason for the big contract in the summer. OK, so we all knew it just meant that he'd go for more, but even so can't think we can say that they've not performed all season because of going in January. We might as well have just sold them in the summer.

And not sure how attractive Saf will be - an 'older' player who has a pretty dire injury record over the last two seasons.
