If you go the theatre Royal and pay ?45 for a seat for an event you go to be entertained and that;'s it. you don't go again and see the same thing ( unless it's Rocky Horror)
Football is more of a passion, life long association with the club, take the good times and the bad times.
Of course if people decide it's boring then they won't go and that in time means lower attendances. But even in the really bad times with Norwich we had 20000 season tickets
