Middletons probably the best overall in the city right now as long as you like your meat with a side of meat. The Reindeer is good if you like to try something a bit different.
Vine Tavern best Thai, nice beer selection in there too.
If you just want to chow down at an Asian style place, Merge in the old regal bingo hall at the end of Dereham Road is good quality and all you can eat.
