John Stead is highly-overrated...

... and McCarthy loves him to bits, that's why he signed him. Personally, I wouldn't have spent that amount of money on someone who only had a good couple of months at a club like Blackburn. He showed last season that he wasn't good enough for this level!

It's similar to Worthington bringing in someone with a good "work ethic".
