To be fair Doherty wasn't s**t yesterday...

He is the only one at the back trying to 'marshall' the defence into some sort of order.

In recent games he has been the only player who looks like they care or has any sort of ability.

Also, who would you rather put in? Fleming? He's proved this season that he is up to the job hasn't he? Fleming could mark Henry or Van Nist out of a game can't he? Shackell has been shown up to be very average, lots of heart - but little ability.

The Doc is the best centre half we have at the club by a fair distance
